Blair Scratchable Airbrush Paper
Created specifically for airbrush artists, Blair Scratchable Airbrush Paper provides a durable, non-absorbent surface designed to withstand scratching and erasing techniques used to create highlights, textures, hair, fine details, and other special effects.
Exact Sheet Size: 13.38" × 18.89"
Size shown in the product title is approximate.
Following the discontinuation of popular scratchable airbrush surfaces such as Crescent 9208 and 9218, this paper was developed to give airbrush artists a surface capable of handling blade and erasing techniques while maintaining the characteristics needed for detailed airbrush work.
Why Airbrush Artists Love It
-Scratchable Surface – Designed for controlled blade techniques and scratched highlights
-Erasable – Allows artists to lift and manipulate color for additional effects
-Double-Sided – Both sides of the sheet can be used
-Inkjet Printable – Light line art can be printed directly onto the paper with a compatible inkjet printer
-Durable Construction – More resistant to tearing than traditional paper
-pH Neutral – Suitable for archival applications-
-Made for Airbrush Techniques – Developed specifically with airbrush artists in mind
Before You Paint
Because the surface is non-absorbent, we recommend gently washing the sheet with mild soap before painting to remove oils or residue that may have transferred from your hands.
Paint formulations vary in adhesion and durability. Test your preferred paint and scratching technique on a small area before beginning your finished artwork.
Using a Blade
This paper is specifically designed to accommodate scratching techniques; however, it is not indestructible. Excessive pressure, repeated scratching in the same area, or improper blade technique can damage the surface. Use light, controlled pressure and gradually build the desired effect.
